sensualité brumeuse
Through the reference of Hans Ruedi Giger and his use of the airbrush that served as an introduction to the world of art, I try, with this technique, to represent different bodily subjects often evoking sexuality and this never-ending need that I qualify as animal in nature. By distancing myself from the visual identity of this master, I create an aesthetic that represents me, giving a priority to the simplicity of the compositions and the abstraction of the bodies. This practice is an allegory of the misery I feel to feel these impulses against my will, I try to fight against the objectification of the woman’s body by using my sensitivity and by representing syntheses of the body. This painting only raises eternal and moral questions constantly.
Through these paintings, I also often express my anxiety and a form of anger I feel towards what destroys humans, animals or nature like drugs, alcohol or cigarettes. The relationship to one’s own body and to that of nature, of others, interests me and touches me; I am used to trying to soothe traumas with this painting.
