ultra-mk-ultra

"ULTRA-MK-ULTRA" is a project based on the CIA's "MK-ULTRA" mind control program, which took place during the Cold War. The facts and experiments are disturbing and truly question the designs of humanity: we are then immersed in these events and sensations.
     The first mention of "ULTRA" in the title of the publication places the project in a more global stance, thus suggesting "Beyond MK-ULTRA". It takes advantage of the current geopolitical situation, especially the situation in the United States, from the rise of AI up to the State, and poses a question to us: "Did the MK-ULTRA project really end?".
     Formally, the publication presents an experimentation report from the period which, as the pages go by, fades and exhausts itself, under symbolic disturbances (amnesia, dissociation, paranoia, loss of bearings, etc.). Visually and typographically, the visual codes are inspired by experimental reports and a cold, almost surgical and state-like iconography. Metallic hallucinations (silver ink) take shape as the drug is named in the text, confronting beauty and harmfulness.
